Para além do documento: um estudo teórico sobre os conceitos de documento

Seeks to bring to light theoretical discussions involving the concept paper, in order to understand it beyond the classical concepts addressed by the major disciplines that use it, in particular, Archival. Within the archival field the record would be one produced and / or received by a public or private institution, in the exercise of their activities, providing evidence or information. This concept was institutionalized in the late nineteenth century by Paul Otlet and Henri La Fontaine, when they created the Documentation, as a field of knowledge. Its objective is to realize that the document goes further than solely traditional, charged with administrative, evidentiary or historical values present in traditional media: written, filmográfico, cartographic, iconographic. It presented as methodological warp qualitative research, with a view to analysis and interpretation of the theoretical ideas of this and other areas, seeking support in comparative research in order to set off an investigation of concepts. It concludes that understand the idea of a document means understanding its history, placing it as the product of a will, which would be to inform and to be informed.
