Conhecer e interagir: transtorno de déficit de atenção e hiperatividade e transtorno do espectro autista
Abstract
dc:description.abstractFrom a bibliographical study, this study aims to analyze the differences and similarities between Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and Autism Spectrum Disorder, guidingeducation professionals in a synthetic form. ADHD is a behavioral disorder, a pattern of restless, inattentive and impulsive behavior; the child cannot sit still or pay attention for a long period of time, which may in turn soften with the years. ASD in turn is a lasting condition, the child born with autism and becomes an adult with autism. It is a developmental disorder that usually appears during the first three years of life and undermines the abilities of communication and social interaction. The work denotes a brief history of these disorders, some characteristics and methods for proper treatment. The bibliographical search was accompanied by a field survey, conducted in a public school in Joao Pessoa (PB). As field research instrument, it was adopted observation and a semi-structured interview with a teacher who has in her classroom some students with ADHD and autism, framing ten questions related to her conception of these disorders and their difficulties in dealing with these students. Transparency in this case study makes clear that the practice of professionals required in addition to knowledge on the subject, the school link is relevant to the family, so that they can help the childtogether.
