O arquivo do CCHLA-UFPB e a adequação às portarias nº 1.224/13 e nº 1.261/13 determinadas pelo Ministério da Educação (MEC)

The present research analyzes the adequacy of the Archive of the Human Sciences, Letters and Arts Center (CCHLA/UFPB) to the Ministerial Orders n. 1.224/13 and n. 1.261/13 of the Ministry of Education. These ones refer to the use of the Classification Code and the Temporality Table, and the Destination of Archive Documents related to the Main Activities of the Federal Institutions of Higher Education, among other providences. The theoretical foundation approached a brief historic of the Institution of Higher Education - public and private ones, the importance of University archives and the Management System of Archival Documents of the Federal Public Administration. The empirical data were collected, under the perspective of a qualitative approach, of exploratory character, using the document research technique by means of institutional documents, such as: ordinances, resolutions, reports and searches at the following websites: UFPB, the National Council of Archives (CONARQ) and the Management System of Archival Documents (SIGA), of the Federal Public Administration, as well as a semi-structured interview. In the results, it was verified some disparity between the normative demand of Ministry of Education and the reality of the investigated Archive.
