Legislação arquivística: um estudo sobre as fontes do direito arquivístico

This work is a result of bibliographic and documental analyses that aimed at drawing up a document related to the general public, however, focusing on addressing the needs of archivists pertaining to the sources of law, applied to archival science. For its making up, documental and bibliographic research were adopted as methodology,through consultation of specific and general laws; specialized bibliographies,periodical articles and web pages of public entities (CONARQ). Accordingly, major doctrines of the legal theoretical knowledge, with respect to sources of law, were used by means of Silvio Venosa ́s, Paulo Nader ́s interpretation and other authors. In the archival study, the theoretical contributions of Jean-Jacques Rousseau Yves and Carol Couture were adopted in relation to historical and technical principles of archival science. The study, by presenting the sources of law applied to archival science, denotes how important it is for the archive professional to have knowledge about current law and its constant updates, as well as the applicability of the rules with regard to their hierarchical levels.
