Specifically, it intends to identify and to know the profile of librarian from university libraries; characterizing librarian’s activities; Investigating librarian’s abilities in order to social responsibilities. The methodology this study is relating to qualitative approach with feature of collective speech. It is characterized as interpretative research into, which has descriptive and exploratory potential, it was used the bibliographical search, discuss about the concepts and the constructions of theoretical categories. Universidade Federal da Paraíba – UFPB where was carried out a search and it was consulted three librarians who work there. The semi structured interview was the tool applied for collect information which was analyzed using some researches based on the Discourse of the Collective Subject technique. The results shown that Central Library from UFPB is a large source of spread of knowledge that performs activities through the librarians and it focusses on its service that gives information to own users.
