For the theoretical framework we rely on authors as Boyer (1996), Mol (2013), and among other authors that depict the theme. This research was developed through a bibliographic research, highlighting the importance of the history of mathematics, based on the ancient civilizations, the contributions of some Greek mathematicians, trigonometry in the middle Ages with the Hindus and Arabs, to the present day in analytically. The research methodology is an approach of qualitative analysis, which was developed as the main part of the development and application of a questionnaire in order to investigate the students' knowledge of the history of trigonometry.
