Identificação e caracterização dos estilos fluviais da Bacia Riacho do Tigre-PB

The brazilian northeast semiarid seen only by low rainfall bias, high evapotranspiration and water scarcity, while neglecting issues related to the production dynamics, transport; required for environmental management of the area, not just for political/social issues of water uses. This way, the need to optimize the management of water resources boosts researches aimed at understanding the dynamics of semiarid river systems and the methodology of fluvial styles emerges as a way of understanding this fluvial dynamic, opening up possibilities of doing a more detailed analysis, being it applied to work in Brazil in different environments, generating informations for watershed management for allowing understand the interdependencies that occur between the different stretches of the river from the source to the mouth. This study aims to characterize and map the fluvial styles of Riacho do Tigre basin, Paraíba semiarid region and to achieve the objectives of the research were needed some methodological steps: as field work on the 16th of February and 22 April 2016, survey of physical data of the basin, from the remote sensing and help of the pictures (SRTM) and ASTER GDEM, information obtained in the field with the topographic GPS use PRO-XH - Trimble, identification of types of channels (not confined, semi- confined and confined) delimiting the channel geomorphical units for each of the eight representative portions of the basin, using the total station (Leica Geosystems) for altitudes for making the side profile, and longitudinal values of the gradient of each passage channel representative. The Riacho do Tigre basin presented generally eight types of river styles, which are distributed in procedural areas of the basin, being mapped into sections each style, taking into account the configuration of the valley first. In Riacho do Tigre basin, there are three major rivers (Tigre, Cacimbinha, Santa Maria), to which the styles are distributed in them and their mediations.
