As the processes of lateral changes in river banks, are among the most recurrent processes in fluvial landscapes and the understanding of its mechanism of action is essential to the explanation of the evolution of the various elements of fluvial dynamics. For semiarid environment, which has predominance of intermittent rivers, the lateral modification processes can be as intense as in humid areas, being necessary greater attention due to modification issues and interventions that will directly affect river stability.
