In order to investigate the use of psychotropic medications, and profile the users of these, assess the compl iance with current legislation regarding the prescribing and dispensing of psychotropic Lists B and C1, dismissed the PIER - Mangabeira is based on the list of the Municipal Register of Essential Medicines in the city of João Pessoa, Paraíba, was created a q uestionnaire in accordance with the decree n ° 344/98 - SVS / MS, in which it approved the technical regulation on substances and drugs subject to special control, so that would allow an analysis revenue and notifications from users who receive, by dispensat ion, the special control drugs. For it was used 20% of revenues and special control notifications dispensed in CAIS - Mangabeira, for the period from January to May 2015, corresponding in 2676, where most of the users are female, corresponding to 58%, residi ng in the neighborhood Mangabeira 20%, 43% there was no site in the prescription, the most medicines 65% are owned by list C and meet the DCB 61% of the time, most prescriptions was issued by General Clinical 69%, antidepressants 28% predominate, followed by benzodiazepines 24%, 21% antiepileptic and only 1% of revenues and scanned notifications.
