Diretrizes para implementação e elaboração de PPRA em unidade de desparafinação a solvente

The work accidents statistics, in spite of not representing the real situation, indicate that the totally safe work is far being reached. In case of a petroleum refinery, the prevention of the appearance of occupational diseases is a difficult task to of being gotten. One of the ways to provide larger safety to the workers is to eliminate or to control the work environmental risks. In Brazil, the legislation obliges the companies elaborate and keep a Prevention Program of Environmental Risks (PPRA), for to preserve their workers' health. This work proposes guidelines for elaboration and implementation of a PPRA in deswaxing units, which is one of the lubricant and paraffin production units of a petroleum refinery, considering the Management System (SGI). From these guidelines, it is accomplished a case study in PPRA existing in two deswaxing units for Methyl Isobutyl ketone (MIBK). For this purpose, his work obtains as result the improvement points identification in PPRA analyzed, provided the effective control of the environmental risk and to establish a way being followed to new programs
