MODELO DE AVALIAÇÃO CONTÍNUA DE DESEMPENHO DE TECNOLOGIA DA INFORMAÇÃO: UMA PROPOSTA BASEADA NO CONTROL OBJECTIVES FOR INFORMATION AND RELATED TECHNOLOGIES (COBIT®)

This study aimed to evaluate the processes of Information Technology (IT) and its degree of maturity in relation to strategic alignment with business goals, through the proposal of a simple model of continuous assessment. For this, the study presented the main concepts of IT strategic alignment, based on theoretical references. Besides using the Control Objectives for Information and related Technology (COBIT ®), an audit framework of IT processes created by the Information Technology Governance Institute (ITGI), in which we supposed to obtain the degree of maturity of IT processes through a structured model applied to them, classified in levels that ranges from 0 to 5. As a practical example of the proposed model, this paper made a case study at the Institute of Radiation Protection and Dosimetry (IRD), an organizational unit of the National Nuclear Energy Commission (CNEN), besides used the Master Planning for Information Technology (PDTI ) of CNEN, as source and aligner of these processes with business objectives. To survey the status of processes, this study used a methodology based on evidence, documentary research and interviews with the IT manager of the IRD. The results of the study showed improvements to be made in the processes analyzed, and suggest their priorities for implementation based on the maturity levels of the CobiT ®. Therefore, this study sought to provide a model that can be adopted by other units of CNEN, assisting managers in the continuous assessment of IT processes, and directing efforts to improve the processes with low maturity, adding value to the organization and services offered by IT.
