Cross-sectional study carried out in the city of Salvador, Ba Brazil, with 120 schoolchildren aged between 10 and 19 years. A form containing variables and an evaluative scale of Common Mental Disorder was used as instruments. Data were processed using Stata version 12. The prevalence ratio (PR) and 95% confidence interval and p value ≤ 0.05 were estimated to verify the association. There was a prevalence of suicidal ideation of 58% among adolescents with CMD. As for sociodemographic data, the bivariate analysis showed a statistically significant positive association for females (PR = 2.65; p = 0.02), not living with parents (PR = 1.63; p = 0.20 ), education of 6th/7th years of study (PR = 1.72; p = 0.15) and the outcome Suicidal Ideation among adolescents with CMD. Regarding the sexual/reproductive variables, a statistically significant positive association was identified between being homosexual/bisexual (PR = 3.09 and p=0.13), having a boyfriend (PR = 1.84 and p=0.13) and having sexual initiation (RP = 1.89 and p=0.07) and Suicidal Ideation. Female adolescents with CMD, with less education between the 6th/7th grade, who do not live with their parents, declared homosexuals or bisexuals, with a boyfriend and an active sex life are more likely to present suicidal ideation, while being of race /white, behaved as a protective factor for the injury.","abstract_html":"To verify the association between sociodemographic, sexual/reproductive factors and suicidal ideation in adolescent students with CMD from a public school in Salvador.
