The physical, emotional and intellectual limitations that come with the disease, with consequences in the lives of patients and their families , generate human suffering , damaging the healthy quality of life. OBJECTIVE: To review the evidence in the scientific literature on the effects of quality of life programs in the user with COPD conducted from October to November 2014. METHODS: This is a literature review. The search was performed in the electronic data base LILACS, the Virtual Health Library (VHL). Pre-selected 65 articles were to initially through reading the title and abstract approach the object of study and apply the inclusion and exclusion criteria, and is therefore the final sample with 7 national and original articles. The latter were read in full using an instrument to guide the readings by the researchers. RESULTS: There is evidence of improved quality of life of users with COPD as effects of programs developed according to the quality of life of users with COPD by physical exercise and quality of life of users with COPD for pulmonary rehabilitation. CONCLUSION: The presented analysis shows the positive effects of exercise and pulmonary rehabilitation. However, it is necessary to include more programs aimed at improving the quality of life as well as the insertion of programs as CUIDADOTECA. The discussions raised here, despite its limitations , contribute to the dissemination of knowledge and may even contribute for the construction of new research topics","abstract_html":"INTRODUCTION: Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a chronic lung disease that decreases the ability to breath.
