Terapia Por Pressão Negativa (TPN) vs.Terapia Convencional em Ferimentos Complexos - Revisão sistemática
Abstract
dc:description.abstractNEGATIVE PRESSURE THERAPY (TPN) VS. CONVENTIONAL THERAPY IN COMPLEX INJURIES - SYSTEMATIC REVIEW. With the increase in longevity associated to incapacitating diseases, and also to the ability to keep alive severe patients, the prevalence of complex wounds has increased in the infirmary beds and thus their cost and occupation of the system, thus becoming an object of growing interest in health teams or management. Objective: To compare cost, efficacy and incidence of adverse events in NTP with conventional therapy. Methodology: The study consisted of a systematic review of bibliography. The researches were carried out in the platforms of scientific literature Pubmed, Bireme and Scielo. In Portuguese, English and Spanish. The terms used were: vac, negative pressure and complex wound. Results: Six articles were included for inclusion in this review. From each paper criteria for comparative evaluation of therapeutic modalities were isolated. Discussion: The analysis compared the cost, time and incidence of complications of these therapeutic models per the selected articles. Discussing methodological and technical characteristics of the literature. Conclusion: The analysis of the data collected did not show adequate parameters for quantitative comparison between the therapeutic modalities.
