As a starting point, I investigate the implementation of the Higher Level - an English course offered by the American School (traditional English school in the city), in partnership with the US Consulate in Rio de Janeiro and the Government of the Bahian State -, to then dwell on the context of pacification of communities through the implementation of community-Based Calabar Security as well as on the relationship between young people benefited from social initiatives and their families, paying attention to the confluence of classificatory power and its role in categorizing youth, and experience of the subject, ie, the amalgamation between epistemology and ontology.
