Geração, comunicação e absorção de conhecimento científico-tecnológico em sociedade dependente: um estudo de caso: o programa de engenharia química
Abstract
dc:description.abstractThe governmental programs and plans for technological-scientific development, during the last two decades, reflect the concept that technological-scientific learning leads to economic development. The analysis of technological-scientific knowledge generated in Chemical Engineering Program, through participant observation method, showed a very low degree of interaction between this knowledge and the demands of the productive sectors of the economy, i.e., irregular and unrepresentative informal contacts, high degree of communication in Professional Conferences but unsystematic publication of schorlarly works in professional journals. This low degree of interaction was found to occur within a situation of dependency on the more developed countries which, in most cases, frustrates the attempts to link technological-scientific knowledge with productive sectors of the economy as well as the development of greater technological-scientific activity including the process by which such activity and knowledge are transfered.
