A computação gráfica na arquitetura: os impactos e transformações gerados pelo uso do computador no trabalho dos arquitetos
Abstract
dc:description.abstractConsidering the constant developments in the world, computer technology that was primarily used in the processing and recording of data in order to make work of companies more dynamic and profitable is experiencing new trends that play a fundamental role in men's life. Computerized image is used today in arts, medicine, engeneering, communications, cartography, architecture, education, research etc. In architecture, the use of computer graphics provides formidable advantages over manual work for it facilitates making changes in a project and in setting up models showing highly precise perspectives. This allows anyone to observe the interior of a project from any internal or external point due to the possibility of archiving old drawings (projects) that will be use again. This technique is still very primitive in Brazil, thus we lag behind as far the current state of art worldwide is concerned. This thesis aims at providing aid to aspiring architects and in the developmen t of professional activities by showing the possible use of computer graphics in projects. This ranges from the description of the hardware and software to the CDA technique and the presentation of a project developed by the conventional method and another with the aid of the computer making a confrontation between both products. It also show the evaluation of the advantages obtained from the proposed method.
