One of the results of inefficiency in port operations is the generation of solid waste, whose inventory was obtained through diagnostic reports, the result of a partnership between SEP / PR and UFRJ. For this, the Network Two-Stage DEA method was applied in 19 Brazilian seaports, with the purpose of analyzing the efficiency of the ports considering two stages. In the first stage, it analyzed the efficiency of port operations management, which considered infrastructure variables (number of erths, berth extension and storage area) and port operation (number of berths and cargo movement). In the second stage, it analyzed the efficiency of solid waste management, with the operational variables of the previous stage as inputs and the generation of solid waste as an undesirable output.
