Aspectos ecológicos dos anfíbios registrados no Parque Estadual do Ibitipoca, Minas Gerais (Amphibia, Anura)

Abstract

dc:description.abstract

Aspects of the composition, habitat distribution, and period of activity of the anuran amphibians in the Parque Estadual do Ibitipoca (MG) were studied through monthly collects and observations from October/1986 to November/1988. Twenty-six species occurred, and it is improbable a substancial increase of this number. Differential preferences in the habitat occupation were observed; some species occurred exclusively in open formations, others in the forest, and anothers were common to these two basic enviromental types. The species presented distinct preferences to the micro-habitats distribution, low level of superpositions. The period of activity of each species is correlated to the different year seasons, with species in activity only in the umid and hot period, others in the dry and cold period, and another, less restricted, presented larger amplitude. The preservation status of the enviroments as limiting factor to its occupation by determined species was discussed.
