The basic theory and implementation of a thermo-elastic-plastic finite element program, for two-dimensional and axissimetrical structures, in microcomputers, are presented in this work. Routines for creep analysis, using Norton's Equation, and for Shape Factors calculations between radiation finite surfaces are discussed. Using the latter, the program can calculate the radiation heat flux for each element in the mesh. Some aspects about stability of the integration schemes for transient creep and thermal analysis are discussed, and examples for code verification are also presented, running them on a 640 kb PC/XT computer.
