Análise elástica bidimensional de problemas com simetria cíclica pelo método dos elementos de contorno
Abstract
dc:description.abstractIn this work, the Boundary Element Method is applied to the solution of cyclic symmetry plane problems. Initially, the basic concepts and the general formulation of the method are presented. The boundary of the body is discretized in quadratic continuous elements, over which the displacements and tractions are assumed to have the same behaviour. The concept of double node is also employed in order to remove the discontinuity of the outward normal vector or of the boundary variables. Singular integrals are carried out numerically with the use of a cubic transformation of the coordinates. The program developed also permits the analysis of problems presenting simple or double symmetry and, in order to compare the computational efficiency of the procedure developed here with the others already developed, as well as the results obtained with its use, some problems are presented and discussed at the end of this work.
