This was possible by the use of a data bank containing 172 loading tests stored in a microcomputer. The use of a microcomputer made possibile the study of the use of other SPTs for the point resistance besides those initially proposed by the method, trying to consider failure models proposed in the bibliography, as well as correlations between cone and SPT recommended by other authors. It was also analysed loading tests on instrumented, floating and point bearing piles.
