Resolução de problemas viscoelásticos utilizando o método dos elementos de contorno
Abstract
dc:description.abstractThe present work deals with a two-dimensional boundary element implementation for viscoelastic problems through the application of the Laplace transform and the correspondence principle. The inverse transform is obtained by using Durbin's method coupled with a Fast Fourier Transform (F.F.T.) procedure. ln the first chapters a 2-D elastic computer program is described where different numerical Gaussian technigues for computing the singular integrals are tested. Here, finite part integration and third degree coordinate transformations are included. For accurate representation of traction discontinuities on the boundary, the so-called interpolated element is tested. ln this element, the source point is located near to but not at the extremities of the element and the interpolation functions are not modified.
