Análise de fundações de máquinas sujeitas a excitações verticais
Abstract
dc:description.abstractThe aim of this research was to compare in situ test results with theoretical results of dynamic analyses used for machine foundation design. The tests were carried out on blocks submitted to vertical harmonic excitation with amplitude as function of frequence. In the analyses the soil was considered either as an elastic half space or as a set of linear springs. In order to achieve the research purpose, test results carried out on silty clay soil from Vicksburg (WES) (USA), sandy soils of Eglin (USA) and silty sand from Volta Redonda (BRAZIL) are analysed. The Brazilian soil was of young residual gneiss type. Finally, this work, also, shows design criteria, calculations methods and soil parameters to be used in dynamic machine foundation design.
