Implementação do método dos elementos de contorno para elasticidade bidimensional com o uso de microcomputadores
Abstract
dc:description.abstractThis work is concerned with the development of a computer program for linear elastic analysis of 2-D plane stress/strain problems using Boundary element method. The fundamental solution due to Kelvin is employed. Four different types of linear isoparametric elements have been implemented for the boundary discretization. These are: fully continuous, fully discontinuous and two alternative continuity transition elements. The program allows for subregions, multisurfaces, symmetry, self-weight, centrifugal load and thermal load in any possible combination. The program has been written in FORTRAN language for 16 bits IBM-PC or IBM-PC XT compatible microcomputers. Input data reading is performed in a user-friendly manner with the aid of a pre-processor which includes data generation facilities. The results of some illustrative examples are compared with the corresponding analytical solutions at the end of the work.
