Determinação das características dinâmicas das estruturas através de subestruturação e redução de graus de liberdade

The present thesis deals with substructuring in dynamic analysis of structures. Two methods for reducing degrees of freedom are presented: Guyan method and Craig & Bampton method. Example problems of plane frame structures are presented to illustrate and to compare the accuracy of theses methods. The analysis of these structures is done through the computer program annexed at the end of this thesis. These example problems show the great efficience of the Craig & Bampton method, allowing to conclude that its adequate aplication leads to an excellent numerical model, with small dimensions, suitable for determinating the dynamic response of structures, in the case that its response has the participation of only the first vibrations mode.
