The basic criteria formulae are presented and some particular characteristics of their implementation on the ADEP system's environment are discussed. The trends on the development of new conceptions for computational systems on engineering analysis and design, as well as the related database organization, are commented. The application of the developed procedures on to the output obtained from a linear static analysis of a typical fixed offshore steel platform is presented and an assessment of the results is also made.
