Imagem e concentração em coletores solares cilíndrico-parabólicos

The potential utilization of parabolic trough collectors for the production of industrial process and domestic uses is largely expected. Nowadays a big effort in terms of research and development must be done to be achieved an optimun design for this equipament. Utilising the ray tracing method and the solar dish concept, this work analyses the influence of the geometric characteristics of the components (reflector, absorber, envellope tube). Type of the frame and materials used on the immage and the concentrating factors, the case of perfect pointing or defocused to the sun is considered. From the theory are obtained the dimensions and geometry for the equipament, the form and the surface finish of the reflector and adequated supporting frame related with a given concentrating factor and working period of time for a choosen site.
