Abstract

An analytic model for determination of the heat transfer coeficient during the two phase upflow (water + air) in vertical tubes was developped. The design and construction of the equipment is then discussed. The experiments were carried out in one tube, 6mm int and 1500mm of length, which suffered heat fluxes ranging 2 from 0,225 to 0,704 cal/scm². The following ratios water mass flow rate air mass flow rate were used 8, 8.5 and 17. Finally, the experimental results are presented, as well as the values of the heat transfer coeficient determined according to the model.
