O método quasi-finito e o método dos elementos finitos para campos térmicos

A review of the classical finite element method is given together with a study of the numerical techniques to be used to deal with transient and steady state thermal fields. The quasi-finite approach is also used with various aspects of the the strategy presented in detail. This method is applied to handle problems which cannot be treated easily with the finite element method. A comparative example of the two methods and examples showing the flexibility of the quasi-finite method are presented.
