Abstract
dc:description.abstractThe performance of finite porous journal bearings under static loads is investigated. An analytical solution is presented and the results relate the eccentricity ratio, the attitude angle, the geometry and the load, friction and design parameters, the latter being a function of the permeability of the porous matrix.
