Abstract
dc:description.abstractAn experimental simulation is dane to stablish a data analysis procedum for, Acoustic Enission experiences, based on the Transfer Function concept. The system used to determine the Transfer Function includes propagation and detecting instrumentation effects on the detected signal, on Acoustic Emission experiences. The procedure is checked by comparing the systemts response calculated through the Transfer Function, with the response obtained on another experimental simulation. It is also presented a bibliographic study of Acoustic Emission, and an explanation of its generation is proposed, based on the study of dislocation dynamics of Hirth and Lothe.
