Concentração de tensões em entalhes-U

The variation of the stress concentration factor in the root of U-shaped notches in thin plates with their increasing depth is studied on the basis of empirically derived formulae found in the literature on the subject. It is considered that the plates are under in-plane loads causing simple tension or pure bending and the notches are arranged symmetrically along their edges. The results are presented in several tables having a special format.
