Tensões devidas ao bi-momento em tabuleiros de pontes de concreto armado bi-apoiadas e com contrapesos maciços

Abstract

dc:description.abstract

The objective of the present study is to establish a proceeding to analyse the order of magnitude of the warping stresses in simply supported reinforced concrete bridge deck with bulky counterweights. Initially it is presented a review of the warping moment theory and a proceeding for the analysis of a particular statically indeterminated structure. The type of structure under analysis is that of a standard roadway bridge having a cross section constituted by a slab and two main beams. For this particular case adequate expressions for the warping moment and stresses are introduced into the analysis framework. Moreover the warping moment influence lines for live loads are presented. Finally, the appendices present the user’s manuals plus computer programs, specially designed for pocket calculators TI-59, for obtaining the warping moment influence line ordinates, warping moment ordinates for fixed-end beams, and also the parameters necessary to find the flexural stresses.
