Instabilidade elastodinâmica de uma viga sob ação de um momento axial periódico
Abstract
dc:description.abstractThe problem of the elastodynamic instability of a uniform Bernoulli-Euler beam subject to an axial periodic torque applied in one of its extremities is analyzed. Equations of motion, established via Hamilton Principle, are integrated by Galerkin method, resulting in two systems of Mathieu-Hill differential equations in terms of generalized coordinates. The trivial solutions of these systems determine the regions of parametric resonance of flexural vibrations of beam as functions of their natural frequencies and excitation parameters. Some numerical resul ts related to the problem are presented.
