Interação estaqueamento - meio homogêneo

Abstract

dc:description.abstract

A genral method of solution for vertically loaded pile groups, embedded in an homogeneous linear elastic medium, is presented in this work, with the intention of predicting displacents, rotations and forces distribution along the piles, considering pile-soil interaction. The present analysis is assumed to be completely linear elastic. A computer Fortran IV program, using the present method, is also provided. The piles are considered to be linked by a rigid cap on top fixed at both ends, embedded in the soil mass and subjected to any combination of concentrated loads on the cap. The soil mass is assumed to be a solid, bounded by two planes, free on top and restrained on tip. The soil reactions upon the piles are obtained by the flexibility method, where the linking forces between piles and soil are determined. The elementary solution chosen to obtain the solid mass stress and displacement field is Kelvin's. The results are compared, whenever possible, to the solution obtained by the modulus of subgrade reaction method. Groups effects for two and four pile were also studied.
