Estudo comparativo de algoritmos de integração direta, aplicados a problemas de condução de calor transiente
Abstract
dc:description.abstractA comparative study of direct integration algorithms was developed in this work for linear two-dimensional transient heat conduction problems. The system of diferential equations of the problem was integrated, in space, by the use of the Finite Element Discretization Technique, using the curved isoparametric "quadrilateral" element. For time discretization, the Hermitians-Operators were used. The development of a digital computer program in FORTRAN was done and several examples were given to illustrate the properties and computational effort of the linear and cubic expansions of the Hermitians-Operators.
