In Chapter I, the necessary concepts to the development of the thesis are exposed: Bimoment and warpihg torsion, sectorial properties of a section. In Chapter II, an analytical study of bimoment is presented: the warping of a section, normal and shear stresses, the bimoment differential equation. Chapter III shows the resolution of a thin walled continuous beam through the usual hyperstatics methods: force method and displacement method. Chapter IV studies the construction of bimoment influence lines of continuous beams subjected to torsional moment. In Chapter V there is an example of numerical determination of tensions in thin walled beams. Chapter VI relates the conclusions found in this study.
