Estudo de placas e chapas retangulares com orifícios

The present subject has as an object to study the bending of thin plates and the problem of multiple connection in slabs, that is explained in the particular case such as: 1) Thin rectangular plates of constant thickness clamped and simply supported at the external edges, with a central hole and with a transversal loading distributed uniformly. 2) Thin rectangular plates of constant tickness clamped at two adjacent edges and free on your others, submitted to a loading distributed linearly. 3) Thin rectangular slab of constant thickness, double connected (with a central hole) exposed to a symmetrical loading parcially distributed at the superior and lowes edges. Inicially we have to stablish the equations to the resolution of the problem, through the Finite Differences in Cartesian rectangular coordinate; the results were compared with those which were obtained through the Finite Element Method (2) with he of the Lorane Linear System. ln the case mentioned in item 2 above, we compared with results obtained experimentally which were treated in the specialized literature (3) For the plate analysis was applied a non conformed rectangular finite element presenting four nodes and twelve nodals displacements. For the slab was used a finite triangular element of second degree, with six nodes having twelve nodals displacements. The Finite Difference Method showed good results specially for the plate which had an external edge clamped and free conformed to the experimental investigation mentioned.
