Abstract
dc:description.abstractA problem oriented language for the solution of Engineering problems, specially prepared to be used in Minicomputers is presented. The typical features of minicomputers are discussed first, emphasazing their limitations and advantages and describing some of the main computers types found on market. Then, the system organization is described, including its characteristics, subroutines, main comands available, the ways of handling information and the different methods of analysis that could be used: linear and non linear analysis and eigenvector-eigenvalue solution. The internal system structure is discussed next, describing the strategy for handling information in a rational way, in order to optimize the time of access to the disk. Application examples are included, regarding the solution of problems that are solved by the field equation, like torsion problems, hydraulics problems, wave propagation, etc. They are comented and compared with known results.
