Estudos sobre Morellia Robineau - Desvoidy, 1830 neotropicais (Diptera, Muscidae, Muscinae)
Abstract
dc:description.abstractThis thesis concerns the neotropical species of Morellia Robineau-Desvoidy, 1830 (Diptera, Muscidae,Muscinae), which is to get the degree of Master in Biological Sciences (Zoology) of the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro. Morellia is a cosmopolitan genus well reresented in almost all biogeographical regions. To each species, further than description, the following itens were dealt: synonymy and types localization; material examined, known geographical distribution; illustrations or male and female, external and internal genital pieces. In this dissertation were included eight species proposed as new ones, in previous paper (Pamplona, no prelo a). Out of nine species known by the literature, seven were examined and redescribed. Historical, biological data and key for the caracterization of all species, even the non-examined ones, were also included.
