Um modelo de malha irregular para o Método das Diferenças Finitas
Abstract
dc:description.abstractStudy of a process of utilization of the irregular meshes in the Method of Finite Differences, which makes the solution of partial differential equations possible up to the second order. The process is, thus, applied to the solution of simply supported plates and of plates under a plane stress state. Preliminarly, we study the theory of the method in detail and, then, we show a series of numerical applications. An automatic program was conceived for the applications, to which we tried to provide a certain degree of efficiency, emphasizing the use of a sparse matrices technique in assembling the global system of equations.
