Um modelo matemático para simulação e otimização do controle da qualidade da água em sistemas fluviais

Develop and apply a methodology of planning that could integrate the water quality control management and the socio-economic river basin's planning. The methodology is based on the application of system's analysis techniques such as simulation with mathematical models and optimization techniques added to a hydrologic probabilistic model, in the planning of the use of water resources to control water quality. The methodology is applied to Paraíba do Sul river basin in the state of São Paulo.
