Both for Lagrangian and Eulerian formulation, the continuous is approximated by quadratic isoparametric elements, and the analysis of plane stress, plane strain and revolution solids is effected. For the solution of surface structural problems, such as plates and shells, quadratic tridimensional elements were degenerated and quite satisfactory results were obtained with this procedure.
