These narratives reveal proposals of the Institution in its origin searching to graduate professionals able to create a new project of nation and at the same time to compromise it with of the retake of the industrialization process. This analysis brings into focus the speeches produced in the period of the creation of the pos-graduation course in Economy in UFRJ - seen in this context as an institutional mark - and therefore, of the Institute of Industrial Economy that determine the creation later of the Institute of Economy (IE).
