What is perhaps given less news coverage is what comes next; the equally complex task of reconstructing the damaged heritage. Throughout this study it became apparent that there was a problem with the current post-war approach, looking at heritage in terms of destruction and reconstruction. This thesis attempts to create a new term for approaching heritage post-war; historical re-evaluation.
