A production and production book of Emlyn Williams' Night Must Fall.

The following work is a method of approach to Emlyn Williams' play Night Must Fall. This thesis concerns the preparation, the actual work, and the final evaluation of the work and preparation that was undertaken to produce this play on the stage of Theatre I in Baylor Theater at Baylor University. Included in this thesis is a brief biography of the playwright, critics' views of the playwright's work, a production history of the play, critics' comments about the productions of the play, the author's directorial approach to the thesis production, a character analysis of the characters in the play, the author's technical approach to the production, the prompt book used during the rehearsals, and the author's condensed journal of the tryouts and rehearsals of the play. A ground plan of the set, a construction drawing, a property plot, a rendering of the set, and outlet plan of Theatre I, a lighting schedule, a light plot, a light cue sheet, costume descriptions, costume plates, and a sound cue sheet are also included in this thesis along with publicity articles, the poster, the program, the lobby display, the review, and the photographs of the thesis production.
