Abstract
dc:description.abstractThis thesis is intended to include the major events in the history of McLennan County from a political point of view, to show the influence that certain leaders have had upon the destiny of the country, and to depict the part played by this county in the affairs of state. In short--it has been the purpose of this study to trace in part those great events of ninety years that have resulted in the present county government. McLennan County is centrally located, has played an important part in Texas history; therefore the writer believes that this volume presents a study of value.
