Interest group analysis of electoral college reform.

One major purpose of this study is the identification of national pressure groups which have formulated group policies with regard to either the maintenance or reform of the electoral college system. After categorizing the groups in terms of their preference for the present electoral college or one of the four basic plans for reform, an attempt is made to discover the way in which the group decisions on electoral policies were made and the reasoning behind the decisions. Another major objective of the study is to discern the attitudes of selected political scientists and politicians toward electoral reform.
