Abstract
dc:description.abstractLittle has been written in English on the Francesca da Rimini motif -- the story if vague, the sources are clouded. So for the most part this thesis is a rather literal translation of the work of Baron Guglielmo Localla titled Dante's Francesca da Rimini in der Literatur, Bildenden Kunst and Musik printed in 1913, Greiner and Pfeiffer, Kgl. Hofbuchdrucker, Stuttgart, pages 4-88. I have used particularly what Locella had to say concerning Francesca in history, in Dante, and in literature.
